evaluation elements: Focus- Is the image sharp- the appropriate area in focus? Movement- Is the image sharp or is there evidence of camera shake? Exposure- Is the image too light or too dark? Color- Is the color natural or does it have a color cast? (too yellow, blue etc...) Formal evaluation elements: Framing- The subject fills the frame in an interesting way- background clutter is managed or eliminated; what is included and excluded? Placement: The camera angle makes the image more interesting. Lighting- Light in the image adds to the overall design- good use of shadows. Subject- The subject is interesting or an ordinary subject is made to look interesting |
