1) Use a tripod
2) Do Not shoot in bright sunlight
3) Compose Carefully
a) watch out for your background
b) check your exposure (use +- ev if necessary)
c) Make sure white balance is correct for scene
4) Shoot in Aperture Priority (Av)
a) Change Aperture to make shutter go faster and slower
b) Changing aperture will change DOF
5) For changes in DOF, foreground subject should be close
There should be something in the distance behind the subject
6) For changes in Motion, the subject should be moving consistantly
Shoot any subject matter - no pets, fans , waterfalls, - cliches etc...
